About Me

About Me

I have long been interested in trying to understand why people think, feel, and behave the way they do - particularly in the workplace. This interest led me to study industrial and organizational psychology (I-O) and management. During my time at UWF and Oklahoma State, I developed a new-found respect for basing my consulting practices on scientific evidence - particularly considering that the scientific evidence directly related to success in practice.

In addition to my work as a consultant, I am an Assistant Professor of Management in the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama, and I teach courses in human resource management, organizational behavior, and high-performance organizations. I am also active in the Doctorate in Business Administration program. My research focuses on explaining and predicting employee and team performance.

I love my job as a professor and the opportunities to take what I teach and research and put it into practice, but the best part of my life is my family. My wife, Megan, is a neonatal nurse practitioner, and we have two young sons, Francis and Jackson. It’s certainly a busy household (and will only get busier), but it makes everything else I do worth it!

Thank you again for checking out my site. Please let me know if I can help your organization in any way!
